ACE is currently available for MorphOS and Haiku only.

ACE is localized in French1), English2) and German3) languages.

MorphOS version

It is the main version which is always up-to-date with the latest features.

The emulator

The archive includes:

  • The emulator itself.
  • Some expansion plugins including the source code and the SDK to create your own ones4).
  • Firmware, BASIC and AMSDOS ROMs5), for Amstrad CPC464, CPC664, CPC6128 and Amstrad Plus6).
  • The documentation.
  • The arec2raw tool to convert ACE video recordings (AREC files) into raw audio and video files.
  • Some example scripts.
  • A bonus drawer with Ambient filetypes for Amstrad CPC files recognition.

You can also install the following tools if you expect to use ACE as a cross-developpment station:

Haiku version

This is still a beta version based on a old version of ACE, but it is working almost as expected.

The archive includes:

  • The emulator itself.

Miscellaneous

ace-arec2raw

ACE comes with a native tool arec2raw which let you convert then encode video recordings. But if you wish to do this operation on a different computer10), you have here the source code of a POSIX version of this tool. Feel free to compile it for your preferred computer.

If you are a developper, I also suggest you to download the famous Arnor's tools ROMs11) you will be able to use with ACE.
